At the beginning of the year 3587 aboard the most massive carrier spaceship ever built for humanity: The one-eyed robot Laire and Pankha-Skrin, the highest dignitary of the debris people, are adversaries yet must be allies. Their duel begins on the base and escalates on an inhabited planet. Nevertheless, Perry Rhodan reaches his destination with the carrier ship, the cosmic fortress of the powerful Partoc. However, humanoid beings who call themselves dismantlers have already begun the recovery and transport of the fortress.
