How should an educational environment for children in kindergartens be designed? The present Kindergarten Scale (KES-RZ) serves as a method for assessing, supporting, and ensuring educational quality in childcare facilities, providing a comprehensive answer to this question. This scale is the revised version of the established KES-R, expanded with eight quality features specifically developed for the German-speaking region. The KES-RZ can be utilized by educational professionals, management staff, consultants, representatives of sponsoring organizations, and youth welfare administration, as well as by researchers. Alongside the KES-RZ, the KES-E is being released, which focuses specifically on quality in the educational areas of language, mathematics, and natural sciences, as well as individual.
