The development of medical advertising law continues: After the Federal Constitutional Court made significant decisions in 2001 and 2002, the German Medical Association has now followed suit. Many restrictions have been lifted, simplifying and generalizing medical advertising law. However, developments in the medical field also reveal new boundaries of advertising law, particularly in the area of aesthetic medicine. The new edition includes the latest decisions from the Federal Constitutional Court and the lower courts, explains the new regulations of the model professional code, and for the first time addresses the permissibility of advertising for cosmetic procedures.
