Understanding, Designing, and Experiencing Rituals of Power
This book guides the reader step by step in creating their own powerful and, above all, effective rituals. Starting from the fundamentals such as intention, feeling, and action that define a ritual, and through the presentation of the so-called carriers of power, the book ultimately leads to the design of a personal ritual. Despite numerous examples of rituals, the reader is always encouraged to find their own authentic and harmonious form.
The book is aimed at individuals who have discovered ritual work for themselves—regardless of their religious or philosophical orientation. It provides a gateway into ritual design for readers who are completely inexperienced in ritual work, while also deepening the understanding of ritual structure and personal ritual design for experienced ritual practitioners. The only prerequisite is an open approach to various worldviews and the ritual symbols shaped by them.
The carriers of power focus on those aspects that concentrate and manifest the power of the ritual—such as the chosen location, the words and gestures used, as well as the utilization of ritual times and directions. Chapters on the power of blessing, the ethics of ritual work, and the handling of ritual spaces in nature round out the book.
The creative ritual delves deeply into the explanation of effective ritual structures and how they can be utilized for self-developed rituals. The author draws on over thirty years of ritual experience with various symbols and integrated into diverse worldviews (shamanism, Christianity, anthroposophy, geomancy, and others). Thus, a work is created for both beginners and advanced practitioners. The ritual examples have been tested in various ways for their effectiveness, allowing for the development of rituals full of power and high efficacy.
