The first signs of spring have finally arrived in Gotland. Anki Karlsson meets journalist Ninni Weström during a multi-day trip, who is researching the story of an old women's house for an article. It quickly becomes clear that this house is associated with many mixed feelings and a dark secret. And suddenly, Ninni disappears without a trace! Anki becomes determined to solve the case and asks her neighbor, former commissioner Tryggve, for support in the investigation. The two are surprised to discover that Ninni's mother lived in the women's house for some time. Apparently, Ninni's disappearance is no coincidence and is just the beginning...
