It is published in the form of two independent volumes. The first volume covers the areas of joint surfaces, osteonecroses, epiphyses, impingement, and synovial tissue. The second volume focuses on the following topics: meniscus, disc, intervertebral discs, labrum, ligaments, and tendons. A new interdisciplinary approach is introduced, integrating anatomy, pathogenesis, histopathology, radiology, and clinical practice. Special emphasis is placed on the justification and definition of uniform and simultaneously comprehensible terms.
