Product details
Since Douglas R. Hofstadter's "Gödel, Escher, Bach," the name Gödel has become known even among non-mathematicians. In 1931, Kurt Gödel published his incompleteness theorem under the title "On Formal Distinguishable Sentences of the Principia Mathematica and Related Systems." Nagel and Newman have presented the essence of Gödel's results for laypeople. The present 9th edition is an unaltered reprint of the now-classic 1958 edition.
