This work illustrates the mechanisms and characteristics in tourism as well as their complex macroeconomic effects. Furthermore, it addresses the interconnection with other economic and industrial sectors, the necessity of targeted tourism policy, and the various interest representations. It also presents the relevant management techniques in tourism, such as crisis management, lean management, and project management, along with all the actors involved in the different segments of tourism.
