Framing und Rationalität

Product details
The author summarizes the very different, empirically observed framing effects into three types. Each of these types involves specific processes of emergence and decision determinants that are neglected within the framework of Rational Choice Theory (RCT). Therefore, a general theoretical extension of RCT is proposed for each of the problem areas, and its predictions are empirically tested using the "Asian Disease Problem" as an example. The experimental results with around 2000 participants show that the differences in information presentation, mediated simultaneously by all three framing processes, affect decision-making behavior.
