After two decades, a comprehensive redesign of the "Gothic Grammar" (formerly Braune/Ebbinghaus) is being presented. The new edition remains committed to the dual function of the book - as a study grammar for academic instruction and as a reference work for research; it is aimed equally at Germanists and Indo-Europeanists. Two main goals were prioritized: a clear and comprehensive presentation of the facts, and extensive documentation of research, incorporating the history of the language. Formally, the volume has undergone a thorough revision, particularly in standardizing and clarifying the citation style. The content of the grammar has been updated and brought in line with the current state of research.
