This introduction to digital technology is suitable for use alongside lectures as well as for self-study. It is intended for first-semester students of electrical engineering from all disciplines and therefore assumes relatively little prior knowledge. It provides a methodically structured foundational knowledge of important concepts in digital technology. It contributes to the understanding of the digitalization of many technical functions that dominate today, but also serves as a basis for further considerations. The textbook includes a large number of examples as well as exercises with solutions.
