Introduction to future thinking
German, 1966Product details
The essays, lectures, theses, and conversations of Professor of Philosophy at the Sorbonne, Kostas Axelos (born 1924), compiled in this book, were created between 1955 and 1966 and written in German. From the roots of Heraclitus's poetic thinking, Axelos's reflections lead to Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, and Heidegger, and in his anticipatory thinking, he attempts to go beyond them. Technology and science, under whose dominion the world history of the present unfolds, challenge art, religion, and philosophy. In contrast, thought must reclaim and assert its place. This introduction to future thinking aims to serve as a guide to the possibilities of advancing beyond idealism and materialism into new realms and overcoming metaphysics.
