University teaching in the field of international relations often addresses American theories within the mainstream of political science; however, alternative approaches from a critical perspective have received little attention so far. This gap is filled by the present textbook, which provides an overview of concepts, theorems, and argumentative logics of alternative approaches from the spectrum of critical theory.
