The second volume of the newly designed three-volume Bergmann/Schaefer Compact covers electricity, optics, and the theory of relativity. Like Volume 1 (Mechanics and Heat), it is aligned with the curricula of a modern physics degree leading to a Bachelor’s degree, as well as other programs with physics as a minor. It is also published with a new layout, clear structure, and exercises. Volume 3 addresses quantum physics, including atomic and molecular physics, nuclear and particle physics, as well as solid-state physics. It contains the fundamentals of electricity, optics, and the theory of relativity, completely redesigned and updated, tailored to the content of a modern Bachelor’s degree program, also suitable for minor students, with exercises included.
