There are a number of classic grammatical problems in Spanish that anyone involved in Hispanic studies must be familiar with: for example, the functional distinction between indefinido / perfecto and indefinido / imperfecto, the two future formations, the interaction of strong and clitic personal pronouns, etc. From the perspective of language practice, these form the core of the grammar to be learned, while in linguistics, they are a central subject of research interest. While the findings of modern linguistics have often led to a significantly better understanding of these phenomena among experts in recent decades, these results have only been gradually adopted by language practice and subject didactics. This workbook fills that gap by applying selected concepts to the known problems, resulting in modern alternative descriptions to those of the common learners.
