Product details
The ATB is the most traditional edition series in German medieval studies. Founded in 1881 by Hermann Paul, it has been overseen by leading experts such as Georg Baesecke, Hugo Kuhn, and Burghart Wachinger. Since 2001, the responsibility has been in the hands of Christian Kiening. The series, which now comprises around 120 volumes, exemplifies the connection between manuscript fidelity and readability, scholarly work on the text, and a focus on academic teaching. It includes recognized, sometimes annotated editions of classical authors from around 1200, as well as substantial collected works and ambitious new editions.
