The fourth edition is published 30 years after the first edition, during which Hanns Fischer's conception of his editio minor of Stricker's verse narratives has proven to be outstanding. Accordingly, the revision for publication was able to focus entirely on updating the bibliography, in addition to reviewing the text. It includes the most important research on Stricker's Kleinepik and a complete documentation of the contributions to the individual verse narratives edited here. In this way, the volume not only serves its purpose in academic teaching but also makes a heuristic contribution to Stricker research.
