Internationally renowned authors describe and analyze the most important groups of prejudices: antisemitism, sexism, racism, religious prejudices, class prejudices, as well as prejudices against age, illness, and disability. Historical causes and effects of prejudices are addressed from the perspective of various scientific disciplines. The German translation of the Handbook of Prejudice, published on behalf of the Sir Peter Ustinov Institute for the Study and Combat of Prejudice, is expanded to include new, current topics such as anti-Roma sentiment and Islamophobia.
