Product details
Liselotte von der Pfalz was the wife of the Duke of Orleans, the brother of Louis XIV. She spent most of her life at the court of Versailles. The approximately 3,000 preserved letters, mostly to her two sisters, are written in an incredibly fresh and lively style and provide an intimate, unfiltered insight into life at the court of the Sun King. The editor Carl Künzel has compiled a representative selection from these letters and has included detailed annotations. This is a reprint of the edition published in 1912.
