Product details
Ferdinand Gregorovius (1821-1891) was not only one of the most significant German historians of the 19th century but also an outstanding stylist. In his landscape portraits, he uniquely blends historically accurate research with lyrical descriptions that vividly convey the culture and atmosphere since antiquity. His particular interest as an author was in the Mediterranean region. His extensive work on Corsica is presented here as a reprint of the second edition from 1869 and includes both volumes of the original first edition.
