I needed something for my heart. What I got was a disaster. At some point, you find yourself thinking: You really need to get out and meet people again. It can't be that hard. So, I did what people do these days: dating. In the past, you would go to the pub. Now, you sit in front of your phone, swiping away people you wouldn't even recognize in real life. I thought I had it under control. After all, I have life experience. Big mistake. Suddenly, you have: - Conversations that completely spiral out of control - Meetings where you wonder how it got this far - Family gatherings that you no longer understand - Authorities that create more chaos than they help - and free time that is more exhausting than work. And every time you think: I can handle this. But you don't. I tried to get a grip on it all. Dating, daily life, people suddenly reappearing. It didn't work. But at least enough happened that you can laugh about it. Most of the time, anyway. Grandpa will sort it out. Somehow.
