"Declarative Agent Languages and Technologies VII" is a comprehensive collection of research findings that emerged from the 7th International Workshop on Declarative Agent Languages and Technologies. This workshop took place in 2009 in Budapest, Hungary, and was part of the 8th International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems. The present publication includes 11 revised full papers selected from 17 original submissions, as well as an invited lecture and three invited contributions from the main conference. The contributions combine declarative and formal approaches with engineering and technological aspects of agents and multiagent systems. Special emphasis is placed on topics such as the semantic web, service-oriented computing, web services, security, and electronic contracts.
