Märit has not set foot in Norrköping for over fifty years, and she has not missed the place where she spent her childhood in the sixties for a single second. On her seventieth birthday, Märit returns to her hometown. Here, her mentally disabled brother Lars was placed in an institution and met a cruel end. It was never spoken of.
