Everyone who can write has their own language and handwriting. Sometimes you can find such handwriting on the street: shopping lists, torn love letters, phone numbers scrawled on tickets. The writer and cabaret artist Ralf Schlatter has collected and preserved these lost words for ten years. He has created characters and backstories for a hundred of the most beautiful ones: highly comedic texts, tragic short stories, touching little fates. Hidden as a treat in the book are guest stories by the young Bernese author Christoph Simon, Ruth Schweikert, and Franz Hohler. "Verzettelt" is a document of our linguistic everyday life and a piece of modern Swiss literature.
