In our material, children get to know the stork from many perspectives. They explore the stork's body parts and compare its appearance and body structure with that of other birds. Other focal points include its habitat, diet, the development of a stork chick, and the dangers that threaten the stork. Students also learn that storks are migratory birds and mark their flight paths on a world map excerpt. As a conclusion, the students create a stork out of colored paper. Since our stations are consistently differentiated at two levels, the stations for grade 1 are intentionally designed with minimal text and many images, while the stations for grade 2 include higher text content and some more advanced tasks.
