Jürgen Borchert lets us participate in his walks through Schwerin and brings us close to many aspects of the history and present of the 850-year-old city. With his gift of knowledgeable and entertaining narration, he looks affectionately and sometimes critically at events and personalities. Unfortunately, he was unable to live to see the realization of his idea, which the feature writer discussed with graphic artist Gunther Brechot in the traditional Schwerin inn "Zur guten Quelle", where the famous Mecklenburg Fritz Reuter once lived. May this book contribute to Jürgen Borchert's work being remembered fondly and may it accompany many visitors to Schwerin on their walks through the city.
