The demographic change is having an increasingly significant impact on senior-friendly real estate, its sustainable usage options, and thus on the real estate industry as a whole. The group of seniors is becoming the largest demographic of our time; seniors are becoming more individualized, more goal-oriented than ever, and are interested in a variety of accommodation options, including leisure activities. It is up to the providers to meet the demand for real estate and additional services with appropriately differentiated offerings. This work presents various concepts and possibilities for senior-friendly living arrangements, including international comparisons. In this context, the future usage options for real estate tailored to seniors are often unclear. This discussion explores possibilities for the sustainable use of such properties.
