The churches and their associated welfare organizations are among the largest employers in the country. In particular, the services offered by religious organizations in social welfare are open to everyone, regardless of their religious affiliation. But what about the employment of Muslims and non-denominational individuals in church services? This book addresses this question while considering the constitutionally guaranteed right of church self-determination, the General Equal Treatment Act, and the labor market. To discuss how Muslims and non-denominational individuals are treated in practice, the views and assessments of representatives from the churches were gathered. These provide an unfiltered insight into the actual hiring practices.
