Johann "Rukeli" Trollmann, who comes from a Sinto family, impresses with his fast and, for that time, unusual boxing style in every round. However, the jury considers the fighter's performance insufficient and refuses to score the match: the boxing style of the "Gypsy" does not conform to German boxing standards. Only due to massive protests from the audience is Rukeli Trollmann eventually declared the German champion, but shortly thereafter, he is stripped of the title "for poor boxing." Rukeli's promising boxing career is cut short under National Socialism.
