Product details
The bullwhip effect holds a prominent place on the agenda of business research. Albert Beer contributes to a more realistic understanding of the bullwhip effect by presenting a realistic simulation model of a production network based on a real-world example. He then evaluates ten selected measures against the bullwhip effect using the simulation model. In doing so, he gains several innovative insights: for instance, limited production capacity, contrary to the prevailing opinion, is not a cause of the bullwhip effect in the studied production network, but rather a measure against it.
