In a snow-covered farmhouse in Upper Bavaria, Gryszinski and his family are looking forward to a contemplative Christmas celebration. The village is the setting for remarkable rural Christmas traditions and mythical mountain stories. However, the coziness comes to an abrupt end: during the traditional Krampus run, a knife fight breaks out in front of the gathered crowd. Shortly thereafter, the victim of the altercation is found dead in Gryszinski's smoking chamber. The major now faces an unusual challenge: twenty Krampuses are both witnesses and suspects. Behind which mask was the true devil hiding?.
