Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger, known for their installations overflowing with fantasy and light-hearted humor, draw inspiration from the content and form of miraculous pilgrimage sites, leading them to create their own expressions. In the pilgrimage site of Kloster Schönthal near Langenbruck in Baselland, a large-scale, vibrant network emerges from the roots of this historically significant place, reaching into the present and beyond.

Involving the local village community and many other participants, a social sculpture is created that teases out and carefully documents the potential of the surroundings around the monastery. With a pilgrimage festival, a unique dough procession, and various site-specific installations along the route from Langenbruck to the monastery and within the church, a comprehensive and diverse work of art is formed.

The extraordinary book "The Holy Spirit Comes to Rest" documents the total installation of the artist duo at Kloster Schönthal through insightful texts and numerous photographs. The publication is a love letter to Kloster Schönthal and its surroundings, but also, in a broader sense, to the interplay between nature and human community.
