Hamburg, an icy November morning in the year 1815. Bastian Plüsch enters his bakery early in the morning and finds a corpse in the dough trough. All evidence points to murder. To avoid becoming a suspect himself, the baker must secretly dispose of the dead body. Shortly thereafter, a masked figure appears, giving the respectable Hamburg citizen an ultimatum: Either he manages to uncover the recipe for the cinnamon roll that has recently become the talk of the town, or the police will learn about the discovery of the corpse.
