The primary actor is his sister Priscilla, who undergoes a metamorphosis from the unfortunate, suffering Deva, who feels out of place, to someone who has a compassionate and loving comforter in her brother, the little goblin. Her passivity and suffering leave her the moment she feels supported and carried by her own divinity, the light and strength within her. Consequently, she bravely faces the rescue of her brother and the search for their mother, thereby embodying the masculine side within the feminine. Priscilla experiences her adventures partly with the little goblin and partly with a lapwing assigned to her side. The story addresses these themes.
