Finally, the dream book of many long-distance hikers is back! The route from Monte Rosa to the Mediterranean describes a fifty-day tour of the Western Alps covering a distance of 650 kilometers: the Grande Traversata delle Alpi (GTA) in Piedmont utilizes historic paths, starting at the foot of the second highest mountain in Europe and ending in Ventimiglia. The journey crosses the Pennine, Graian, and Cottian Alps, as well as the Maritime and Ligurian Alps. Eberhard Neubronner, who was awarded the literature prize of the German Alpine Club for this work, presents a completely updated new edition. It includes not only the exciting and informative text and numerous new images but also details about the continuation of the GTA in the south.
