Many years ago, the railway guard Wassil lived with his little daughter Malina in a railway post amidst high mountains. His task was to monitor the dangerous railway line with its many tunnels, squeezed between the towering peaks. On that afternoon before Christmas Eve, Wassil was checking the railway line. Meanwhile, Malina was decorating the Christmas tree with handmade stars. She was looking forward to the gift her father had promised her. Suddenly, she heard a terrible rumbling. The dog Bello began to howl and scratch at the door.
