Victor has left the province behind and moved to Paris to study. Coming from a humble background, he feels the pressure of university life. Victor is lonely and feels invisible. The only person he occasionally shares a cigarette with is Mathieu, a boy from the class below him. When Mathieu jumps to his death, everything changes for Victor. Suddenly, he becomes visible as the only friend of the victim.
