Product details

One of the most prominent figures in German intellectual life between the Reformation and the Enlightenment is Jacob Böhme (1575-1624). The far-reaching concepts in his writings have been enthusiastically received for centuries. This edition presents two main works from the philosopher's extensive oeuvre: the debut "The Rising of the Morning Star" and the later work "De Signatura Rerum." The comprehensive commentary explains Böhme's doctrine of world creation as well as the historical impact of his work from Newton through Lichtenberg and Hegel to the present day.
