The Parent-Child Play Training (EKST) is an activating, action-oriented technique in resource-oriented parental work addressing educational difficulties and behavioral issues in children. Additionally, this book presents the pedagogical and psychotherapeutic foundations of parental work. The EKST differs from conventional, problem-oriented therapy and counseling services through its indirect play therapeutic approach, contributing to a supportive regulation and stabilization of the relationship between parents and child. By recognizing the connection between their parenting behavior and the child's behavior, parents are supported in reflecting on and changing their own behavioral patterns. Both parents and child are active participants in the intervention process of the EKST, engaging with each other on equal terms.
