Ever since he saw the legendary player known as "the Little Giant" at the national volleyball championships, Shoyo Hinata has aspired to become the greatest volleyball player of all time. He decides to join the high school team that the Little Giant attended – and then surpass him. Who says you need to be tall to play volleyball when you can jump higher than anyone else?

Hinata boldly declares that he will no longer close his eyes to the freak quick, but Kageyama is not on board with that. The two clash, which sets the entire team back during practice matches.
