Inästhetik thinks about art from the perspective of philosophy and philosophy from the perspective of art, without making one the object of the other, without binding one to the other or subordinating one to the other - with the conviction that in both philosophy and art, the infinite is expressed only in different finite forms. Inästhetik traces the intraphilosophical effects that arise from the independent existence of certain artworks, with philosophy providing the level of immanence. Inästhetik promotes a way of thinking that regards both art and philosophy as forms of truth production and, in the sense of Badiou, maintains fidelity to these truths. Inästhetik seeks to establish the level of a general ontology on which the relationship between philosophy and art unfolds. Inästhetik is published biannually.
