Product details
The psychiatrist Dr. Robert Laing lives in a highly technological high-rise building with 40 floors, which promises its residents the utmost comfort. Everything is available here, from supermarkets to swimming pools to kindergartens, so the well-off residents only need to leave the building for work. It appears to be a perfect gated community for the middle class. However, the floors and parking spaces are organized according to income and status. Laing not only meets the television journalist Richard Wilder, who lives on the second floor, but also the architect and creator of the high-rise, Anthony Royal, who resides at the very top. As certain functions in the building gradually fail, elevators become blocked, and garbage chutes stop working, conflicts arise between the parties and the three protagonists. An ever-open situation.
