As one of the great Enlighteners, he is known to us, his articles have encyclopedically fixed "Jealousy," "Abstinence," and "Charlatanry." Yet as a chatty storyteller, he also knew how to vividly recount what unfolds in the often complicated relationships between people: whether between man and woman or in the difficult relationship of a man with his dressing gown.
