A guide for calculating forest value in forestry. Various calculation methods such as the expected value method and the cost value method are presented, general suggestions for determining the common land and forest value are analyzed, and much more. In both theory and practice, a distinction is made between substance value and yield value in the assessment. When evaluating a forest, there are usually significant differences in the value results between these two types of value. In any valuation case, the initial question should always be whether substance values or yield values are determining the value.
