Product details

Study paper from 2006 in the field of Theology - Systematic Theology, grade: 1.3, University of Osnabrück, course: Responsibility for Human Life. Fundamental Questions of Bioethics, 18 sources in the bibliography, language: German. Abstract: Recently, the discussion surrounding active euthanasia has gained renewed urgency. For example, the Swiss euthanasia organization Dignitas is attempting to establish a presence in Germany and is indirectly supported by statements from certain politicians, such as Hamburg's Justice Senator Roger Kusch (CDU). In early October 2005, Mr. Kusch publicly proposed that killing upon request should no longer be punishable. He argued that Section 216 of the Penal Code should be amended accordingly. Euthanasia for terminally ill patients is "not a violation of fundamental human values, but a command of humanity.".
