In this book, Severin Fischer analyzes the interactions and interdependencies between Germany's energy and climate policy and that of the EU from 2007 to 2015. The focus is on Europeanization processes in the overarching strategy development and in the three policy areas of electricity market and infrastructure development, renewable energy policy, and climate protection. Severin Fischer explains, through process analyses, both the emergence of the European framework for Germany's transformation project Energiewende and the German influence on decisions in EU energy and climate policy.
