Just before Christmas, Lea and Florent, a couple in their forties living in Paris, are expecting guests. A cozy dinner for four to celebrate Lea's birthday seems like a routine affair. However, during the dinner, the friendly couple announces their intention to get a divorce, and suddenly the situation escalates. An unmistakable reaction at the wrong moment shakes everything up, and the respectable facade of their harmonious life together crumbles in favor of a brutally honest reckoning, a litany of shortcomings and disappointments.
