Mariam Bochorishvili analyzes the EU's Georgia policy from both an actor-centered and a systemic perspective. At the systemic level, Russia's great power politics and expectations of the EU are central. At the actor level, individual member states are also included in the analysis alongside the EU. This first comprehensive study on these topics is highly relevant. It provides important insights that can be generalized in the context of the CIS, such as regarding Ukraine.
