Most people know very little about bats or are even afraid of them. What do bats actually look like? How do they hunt their prey? Where do bats live? Who are their enemies? How do they differ from flying foxes, the close relatives of bats? Students will explore these and other exciting questions at 16 varied stations. They will learn that our native bats do not feed on blood, but rather on insects. The children will think about what they can do to protect this endangered species, create profiles of native bat species, and craft cute bats out of paper.
