Product details

Starting in 2014, Virgin Galactic will conduct the first commercial space flights with SpaceShipTwo, reaching altitudes of about 100 kilometers into space. The first official flight will be taken by Virgin Galactic's owner, Richard Branson, along with his family. The event is scheduled for spring and is eagerly anticipated by the press. To reach the boundary of space at 100 km, the engine must burn for about one and a half minutes. At that altitude, weightlessness prevails. Space tourists will be able to unbuckle their seatbelts and float around the cabin. SpaceShipTwo will remain at this height for about five minutes before gliding back to Earth. The trip to the lower reaches of space is expected to cost $200,000, and interested parties can already make reservations. Over 500 bookings have already been made. The photo artist Michael Najjar (born 1966 in Landau) lives and works.
